
Mr. Kercher
Attorney Kercher has been providing legal services
to Chapter 7, 13 and 11 debtors throughout the Lehigh Valley, including
Lehigh and Northampton Counties, for over eighteen (18) years.
Attorney Kercher had previously represented banking institutions and
creditors as well, but has concentrated his practice in representation
of debtors over the last thirteen (13) years. Attorney Kercher
also has vast experience in litigating consumer protection issues,
such as Truth in Lending violations, Fair Debt Collection Practices
violations, Unfair Trade Practice issues and related consumer problems
caused by the over-reaching of lenders and creditors. Attorney Kercher
is admitted in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Middle District
of Pennsylvania, both in the District Courts and in the Bankruptcy
Courts, and has represented clients in other bankruptcy courts, including
the Districts of Delaware, Maine and Kentucky. Attorney Kercher is
a member of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania Bankruptcy Conference
and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA)
- both organizations are composed of experienced, expert bankruptcy
practitioners. The organizations provide their members with continuously
updated materials that allow their firms to stay abreast of current
important developments in the law.
Lorrie A. McCans
Paralegal/Legal Secretary
Lorrie A. McCans is a graduate of Liberty High School (1989). Mrs.
McCans attended undergraduate courses at both Allentown College of
Saint Frances DeSales (now DeSales University) and the University
of North Dakota. She graduated from the Professional Career Development
Institute in 1992 with a Certificate in Paralegal Studies. Prior to
her return to the Lehigh Valley in 1998, Mrs. McCans was employed
by a Virginia firm that provided a wide variety of legal services
including domestic, criminal, court appointed matters, personal injury
and Chapter 7 proceedings. For the last six years Mrs. McCans has
worked exclusively with bankruptcy related matters, including Chapter
7, 11 & 13 proceedings, primarily representing Debtors and Debtors-in-Possession.
Additionally, Mrs. McCans has been a Notary Public of the Commonwealth
of Pennsylvania since 2000.
Mrs. McCans resides in Danielsville, Pennsylvania with her husband
and two young children.
